Let your tan do the talking

It’s the height of summer, which means we’re working hard on our tans. And let's be honest—we want to keep that tan for as long as possible. But how do you maintain your sun-kissed glow in a healthy way?

Maintaining a Sun-Kissed Glow

Good tans come to those who exfoliate and moisturize:

Gentle Exfoliation

Exfoliate your skin 2 to 3 times a week with a gentle exfoliant to remove dead skin cells—but not your tan. Use products with ingredients like lactic acid or rice extracts. This way, you can enjoy a radiant complexion for longer.

Nourishing Ingredients

Ingredients like hyaluronic acid, aloe vera, green tea, honey, and rose water ensure that your skin stays well-hydrated. Hydration helps maintain your tan, softens the skin, and prevents it from drying out and flaking. Additionally, nourishing the skin from within by consuming foods rich in vitamins A, C, and E, such as carrots, oranges, and almonds, can be beneficial.

Hydration of your skin (from both inside and outside)

In addition to hydrating your skin from the outside, it is important to keep drinking plenty of water. In addition, avoid (too) hot showers so that you preserve your skin's natural oils.

Pro tip: Do you notice that your sun-tanned complexion is slowly waning? Avoid a tangry mood (a state of anger caused by losing your tan) and add a few drops of self-tan drops to your moisturizer.

Holding onto your summer tan doesn't have to be a struggle. By (gently) exfoliating, moisturizing and using nourishing ingredients, you can keep your sun-kissed glow healthily longer. We don't say let your tan do the talking for nothing ;-)
